Fishing with Greater Skill and Precision

Casting fishing rods often become the choice over spinning fishing rods for several reasons, one of which is when you want to hit a small target. Casting techniques using casting fishing rods generally allow more precision in your casting ability, with more precision about where you land the bait. Casting to edges of the bank or fishing in and around bushes or into little pockets between bushes can be quite fruitful in hooking large fish lurking in those spots, but it will take more skill on your part to get good at hitting where you aim. Because the moving line on the spool of a casting reel is in constant contact with your thumb, distance control is much easier to achieve than with a spinning reel. This often makes it possible to use greater finesse in bait presentations. The opposite can also be true of casting rods, when extreme power is wanted such as when punching flipping baits.
